Special Educational Needs - Disability Information


Pupils who are deemed to have Special Educational Needs fall into many categories. They could have learning difficulties, mental health issues, or specific disabilities, which is something physical or developmental. In schools disabilities are grouped into a range of categories including: Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Disabilities (PMLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Hearing Impairment (HI), Visual Impairment (VI).
