Included with your LGfL 2.0 connection is a dedicated firewall that protects your school from the Internet and helps to ensure the security of the schools' local servers and workstations. The provision of this local firewall technology under LGfL 2.0 gives London Grid the ability to offer schools a secure wireless environment and to seemlessly integrate with the USO and LGfL filtering systems.
Located in the two LGfL data centres are the Cisco Wireless network controllers providing core authentication services for LGfL's network wide secure wireless capability. Deployment and support is centrally managed via the LGfL USO Support Site and the base stations are available in two formats.
