Populating the DiDA course area with pupils and teachers

N.B. If you have not yet created LGfL staff and pupil accounts, please refer to the guide to setting up accounts in the training section.

1) Click on your homepage icon on the Digitalbrain toolbar when logged in as the school portal administrator.

2) Click 'view', then 'folder listing'.

3) Click on the green 'groups' folder.

4) Click on 'pupils'.

5) Click on the appropriate year group.
These groups signify when that year group entered the school. Therefore, pupils who entered year ten in September 2005 will be in year2002. Those entering year ten in September 2006, will be in year2003.

6) In the select boxes next to their usernames, tick the pupils who are doing the DiDA course.

7) Press the button.

8) Click on the 'Go to' then 'My webspace' in your digitalbrain toolbar.

9) Click on courses, then dida.

10) Click groups, then students to enter the students folder.

11) Click .

You have now populated the school DiDA course area with the students. This enables them to view linked resources, add to school DiDA discussions forums and add their e-portfolios.

12) Note the teachers folder will also need to populated in a similar manner with the appropriate staff. This will enable teachers to edit the course homepage, add links and resources and view the students' e-portfolios.
