PRINCIPLE 5 : Working in Partnership

High quality professional development opportunities within the school’s framework include partnership working wherever appropriate.

Staff are required to report to the CPD Co-ordinator on the outcomes of their development activity.

Some team leaders encourage staff to share their professional learning with other staff.

Strategies for sharing learning with other staff are agreed within each individual’s learning plan.

Links with the LA, other schools and organisations are ad-hoc, tend to be through a few individuals and focus on external expertise visiting the school such as ASTs, the LA, ITT partnerships.

The school encourages staff to make links with other schools and with networks and organisations as appropriate and welcomes visits from other schools.

The school openly invites staff to work on specific projects with other schools and organisations in support of teaching and learning to build on its own strengths, share its experience and its resources to the benefit of all and to learn from others.

Partnership working arises from personal contacts and common agendas.

Partnership working is demonstrated by some individuals or small groups. The focus may be operational or activity based and learning is shared amongst the members of the partnership project.

Partnerships with other schools and organisations stem from shared, agreed principles, aims and learning outcomes. Learning from the collaborative work is shared with all staff across the partnership and with other organisations.
