Secondary Transfer
Our children move on to a wide range of schools, both state and private, in and outside the Borough. With entry becoming increasingly competitive across the board, this can be an anxious time for parents and children, with many sitting exams and interviews for several schools. We do everything we can to prepare them for this process and to support you, their parents, by providing information and advice on schools and the admissions process. To this end, we hold a meeting for Year 4 and 5 parents in the summer term, and this is followed by an individual meeting with the Head as soon as possible during the autumn term when your child enters Year 6. The range of secondary schools to which Allfarthing pupils progress can be seen below.

We are pleased to say that most children are accepted by their first choice of school, with many being offered places in several schools and many winning scholarships.
