Our children help us and we love you to help us too!

There are lots of ways that you can help us in our school. Please click the links below or come in to find out more details. You're always VERY welcome!

Chase Lane Primary School and Nursery Unit are always grateful for parents, grandparents, family members and friends to come into school and share their story or journey so far.

Could you spare 20 minutes to come and chat with your child's class and let them ask you questions? Could you talk about your experience, your culture, your work, your hobby, your specialist knowledge, your talent, your . . . . . .?

The children love hearing real life stories, stories that will inspire them, stories that will develop their own self esteem, stories that will help them make good choices when they are older. Please see your child's class teacher or ask at the Office.

Friends of Chase Lane Primary School is a group of parents, staff and friends of the school who meet about once a month to discuss fundraising for the school. Our past successes have included

  fayres

  bingo nights

  discos

  teddy bears' picnics

  sponsored bouncy slide

  fashion shows

We would love you to join and be FRIENDS with us!

Our school always welcomes parents, family members and friends to come and help in school and in the classroom. From hearing children read to going on school trips, from Design & Technology to science experiments, from book fairs to roleplay, you're very very welcome!

Please note it is a legal requirement that you are police checked before coming in to school - this is easily done by way of a simple 'List 99' form which you can collect from the Office.

If English is your second language, please follow the link below and teach your child the list of school words in English and also in the language that you speak at home. Your child will settle much faster into school life at Chase Lane Primary School if you spend 5-10 minutes each day, teaching these words to your child.

Click here to find the list of EAL words to teach your child.

  • Practise saying the word and writing it next to the picture.
  • And if you have time, please write it in your home language next to the picture and give us a copy so we can help other children who use your language at home too.
