LGfL training

Waltham Forest CLC staff and other EduAction colleagues are accredited to run LGfL training and a rolling program of training sessions is available each term at the CLC.

If you have specific requirements please contact Peter Lillington (020 8531 8484) or Christian Smith (020 8496 5887) to discuss possibilities.

In addition Mina Patel the LGfL sector consultant, will be working with schools on developing their use of LGfL and its resources.

If you are a school ICT co-ordinator or person who has responsibility for developing your school portal, and you have a have a query regarding your school portal username or password, please contact Peter Lillington (020 8531 8484).

If you are a school member of staff or pupil, please refer in the first instance to your school ICT contact.

LGfL training sessions A and B cover the following topics, assuming no prior knowledge:

Session A

  • Introduction to LGfL portal and facilities
  • Creating user accounts

 

Session B

  • Create a homepage and configure your site
  • Introduction to creating learning modules (web pages)

LGfL website workshop - some prior training required

Workshop session, for developing your LGfL portal/website (can include incorporating existing web pages) and troubleshooting other aspects.

Informal structure to session with tutor support available.

cover the following topics not included in the basic sessions

  • Calendar facilities
  • Upload and download documents
  • Account administration
  • Create and use Groups
  • Setting access
  • Introduction to Discussions and Courses
