Class & Phase Assemblies

Class liturgies take place once a week in each class. They take the form of quiet prayer, reflection, hymns and a blessing. Initially, this is teacher led with groups of children planning their own theme with accompanying prayers and hymn.

Once a term, each class prepares an assembly on a chosen topic and performs it to the rest of the school. Parents/family members and the class governor are invited to this assembly.

Phase assemblies take place once a week within a phase group. I have been working in Phase 3 which includes years 4-6. Each week one of the teachers in the phase leads an assembly which usually includes a bible story, a song, and reflection time.
