Secondary Webquests

A set of three webquests that support students using the web as global citizens to do research, report writing, presentations, and persuassion whilst learning about the Department for International Development, the United Nations and mechanisms for monitoring and responding to human rights issues.

What Should We Fund?

A simple three session activity for your students to research an issue and then present a case as to why it should be funded by the Department for International Development.

They will learn about the issue through research, will have to use persuasive language, and take part in an 'election' as well as learn about how the UK government funds development issues around the world. The quest has downloadable briefing sheets and video clips.

This activity is based on St Pauls Way Community School working with the DfID and HEC to help launch the White Paper, 'Eliminating World Poverty'.
