      Is Your Borough Fairtrade?

Having Fairtrade Borough (or Town) status is another way for different communities actively show their support for giving producers and farmers in southern countries a fair wage for their work
How does this help?

Fairtrade boroughs are an important part of the Fairtrade campaign.

By becoming a Fairtrade borough you are making a commitment to promote and support the idea of trading fairly between many different countries in the world.

This means that all over the UK there are people working to promote the importance of a fair wage.

 London & Fairtrade

The idea of a Fairtrade Borough (or Town) has been extended to cities as well.

At the moment London is working towards becoming a Fairtrade City and many boroughs right now are working on promoting and supporting the Fairtrade movement.

So far, there are 16 Fairtrade Boroughs and many more are working hard to achieve Fairtrade status.
