YOUTH FORUM
Group of young people aged 11-19 surported by 2 youth workers + an employed Youth Forum worker.
We hold an annual meeting on the last Wednesday of every month. We have an exec. Committee consisting of Chair, Deputy Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Press + Publication Officer and Membership + Training Officer.
We hold a training residential at the beginning of the year to train new recruits.
We aim to provide a coherent, cohesive voice (basically clear) for Young People who live, work, play or go to school/ college in the Richmond Borough.

We hope to gain 2 representatives from each organisation, school/college or group.

Youth Forum have made there own constitution and all members have to obey this or else. :)

Youth Forum have also have a code of conduct.

TESTIMONIAL
I started going to meetings when I was in care...
They started up a monthly meeting where young people in care could go to and have a chance to say what they felt about social services. I enjoyed and was then told about the Richmond Youth Forum I went to one of their meetings and then to their training residential and I really enjoyed the chance to have my say and knowing that I was there representing Young People in care which was a big responsibility but I found out that I liked getting others who might be shy views and being a voice for them. Now being voted in as The Deputy Member of Youth Parliament for Richmond has been a great achievement I am really enjoying the position.
Also being on the Youth Forum I get a chance to have my say and be heard by the people who make the decisions.
Although the Richmond Youth Forum happens monthly and is going well we are always looking for the opportunity to raise our profile as a group and to be taken seriously. If you would like more information please contact Lois on: 07903 811 704.
