Attendance

It is a parent's legal responsibility to ensure that a child attends school and that the school is properly informed of the reason for any break in attendance. If a pupil is absent for any reason, the parent should phone the school on 020 8892 7607 to report the reason.
Authorised absence is where the school has given approval for a pupil to be away or has accepted an explanation offered afterwards as a satisfactory justification for absence.
All other absences will be treated as unauthorised, including holidays taken during term time.  Levels of unauthorised absence do not equate with levels of truancy.
