Year 6 PGL School Journey to the Brecon Beacons

Wednesday 24th June/Thursday 25th June.  A busy couple of days with various activities, including kayaking, canoeing, the zip wire and raft building.  Everyone is having a great time, eating and sleeping well and enjoying some new challenges.  Today is Edward's birthday and we understand that he is having a good day, last seen flying across the zip wire!

Tuesday 23rd June - morning.  A very early start this morning for everyone!!  All in very good spirits nevertheless and looking forward to a day kayaking and canoeing in the sunshine - at least the sun was trying to come out so fingers crossed that it has!

Monday 22nd June - evening.  Ms Leney reports that the journey was good with all arriving safely and in good spirits.  The children have enjoyed their evening meal and were completing their evening activity prior to watching the giant water splash from the abseiling tower at the time of speaking.  It seems that the river is quite dry but fingers crossed for some good river activities tomorrow.  More news as it comes through - the mobile phone signal is quite poor in the Tregoyd so news is sometimes slow to get through.

Year 5 School Journey to the Isle of Wight - 11th-15th May 2009

News at 4pm: The sun is now shining!!!  The children have enjoyed a visit to Carisbroke Castle this afternoon and are now looking forward to an evening on the beach.  Mrs Holden has received many compliments on the children's lovely manners which is very good news!

Thursday 14th May - All well and happy, enjoyed a long walk to St Catherine's Lighthouse this morning and are visiting Alum Bay this afternoon.  Sadly the rain has finally caught up with them but not enough to dampen the spirits!

To remind parents, the children are expected back around 6.30pm.  We will text when they get off the ferry at Southampton and again when they pass Sunbury Cross.

Monday 11th May - Mrs Holden reports that all the children and staff had a good journey and are well and happy!  Still enjoying glorious sunshine, they have just left Osborne House and on their way to their accommoation at St Rhadagunds to unpack and relax.  More tomorrow!

Tuesday 12th May - Mr Dillon phoned this morning.  All well and happy after a good night's sleep.  Spirits are high so far - events planned for today are a trip to Dinosaur Isle followed by a visit to Sandown Zoo.  The sun is shining although it is quite breezy - most importantly though, no rain!!

Wednesday 13th May - A good day yesterday despite the coach breaking down and delaying everyone at Sandown Zoo.  The skies are a bit grey today but still no rain and all in good spirits.  Today's trip is to Lilliput Dolls Museum.
