Oaks Park is in a unique position within the Borough. Our students will be able to play a full and vital role in the development of a new and exciting Sixth Form. The partnership between parents and the school is already extremely strong and we aim to build upon this. The Sixth Form will strive to harness student and staff enthusiasm by building on academic success and making teaching and learning a priority.
Our aim is to retain many of our present year 11 students, welcome year 11 students from other schools and support their progression into year 13 Higher Education and the work place.

o The tutor-student relationship will be central to our success in motivating our students and encouraging positive working relationships with staff
o Student progress will be monitored and discussed with students and reported to parents at regular intervals
o Achievement will be celebrated both formally and informally
o Sixth formers will be considered as individuals and great effort will be made by the pastoral team to support and guide them
o High standards of conduct will be expected - students will sign a contract and there will be a formal disciplinary procedureWe aim to create a positive ethos in the Sixth Form and a calm, confident atmosphere.
