The English teams in Redbridge are very successful, not only in gaining excellent results with students but for nurturing and developing teachers who really believe that every child matters. They are not complacent though and strive to become even better, welcoming any support, advice, initiatives and changes needed in order to provide the best for their students.
There is a strong English network in the borough, with departments working collaboratively together and sharing projects they are involved in.
The latest cross phase project is called Visual Approaches to Writing, using complex picture books, film, graphic novels and computer games to teach multimodality in texts in order to enhance reading and writing.
