The Busy Teacher's Guide to the Interactive Whiteboard I have developed a quick, user-friendly self-study guide for teachers who want to know how Interactive Whiteboards can be used to improve teaching and learning. To use it you must have ActivStudio2 loaded onto your computer (this is the software that is usually installed with Promethean whiteboards). I have not yet written a version suitable for use with SMARTboards. You don't need to have an interactive whiteboard to get started - you could use it at home or in the staff room as long as you have ActivStudio2 installed. To get started, please click one of the links below. Unit 1 covers the basics, such as typing in text, using the pen tool, and dragging stuff about
Unit 2 covers using pictures and making engaging and interactive activities
Unit 3 covers using the magic pen and whiteboard itself, so you need to load it up in your classroom
Unit 4 covers resources and a few other useful teaching tools If you would like to give me some feedback about these guides please click here OR email me: jake.mansell@rbkc.gov.uk Great Graphs project - click here Teaching and Learning Forum: Teachers in their 2nd/3rd Year For those of you who attended our "T23" Forum, please find the session flipchart below:- T23 session 1 - Starter activities English IWB Activities Click here to download some English Interactive Whiteboard activities.
