Music

We always have a range of different musical opportunities for the children at Tolworth Infants' School.

We hold singing assembly once a week as a whole school to learn new songs. We also have singing practice once a week in our year groups. This gives us the chance to learn and practise more songs and use some musical instruments.

We have music lessons in class once a week following our school scheme - Music Express. This gives our children the chance to explore the many different elements to music through musical instruments and their voices.

Year Two were lucky enough to take part in a special free concert at The Barbican this year. It gave them the chance to hear and perform with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Every year our Year Two choir takes part in the Borough Infant Music Festival. The children love this experience of performing on their own and with other schools to a large audience. Our children always perform very well.

This year our school will be recording a CD of songs that the children have learnt and this will be available to buy at the end of term.
