The Local Community The school has developed very close links with the local community and offers a range of courses for adults as well as opening our facilities for community use. Pupils are also involved in raising significant funds for local charities. Why not join one of our Community Education courses? Community Education classes are for adults within our community who wish to learn new skills or to improve upon their existing skills. At St. Bonaventure’s School, we run a range of Community Education classes in conjunction with the Newham Adult Education Department. Our classes take place on Monday evenings from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. in a relaxed and friendly environment. Enrolment for our next cohort of classes takes place in September 2005 between 6 p.m and 9 p.m (exact date TBC). Please use the Lancaster Road entrance to the school site. Staff will be available to give additional advice and guidance. Courses are free to London Borough of Newham employees, people aged over 60 and some people in receipt of benefits. We are only able to offer these courses if there is sufficient demand/interest within our community, if you require further information, please contact either: Miss N Ford St. Bonaventure’s Community Education Co-ordinator Tel: 020 8472 3844 | Newham Adult Education Department Tel: 020 8586 7043 |
