The Chaplaincy is the focus for the spiritual life of the school and plays a central role in its community and curriculum. Chaplains from local parishes visit the school regularly and the school Chaplain is involved in all aspects of school life.

He:

• celebrates Mass every week at school and every term for each year and on special occasions

• leads prayer sessions, discussions on the liturgy and on morality

• is availablc to pupils and staff who need support or guidance

• organises and runs day and residential retreats in St Cassian's at Kintbury

The entire philosophy of the school rests upon Christian values and experience and RE is compulsory throughout the school. All boys are entered for GCSE in Religious Studies and achieve consistently higher pass rates than the national average St Bonaventure's is a Catholic school and children are encouraged to bring their own experince to religion and explore their own faith within a Catholic context.
