Tuesday 28th November - Planning and Professional Discussion day

Reality and tiredness hit home as we realised that spending an hour in the gym before breakfast and then being ready to leave for school at 7:30am just wasn't going to happen - so the gym will have to wait for another day!

Today was packed with Year Group meetings and TA training. The Digiblues worked like a charm each time we showed the teachers. They were really impressed with the animations from Plaistow & West Ham Church Primaries and were inspired to think of all sorts of applications in class. So we're keeping our fingers crossed that they continue to work well as we're using them with the children from tomorrow.

Nursery are videoing their outside play.

Reception are videoing their Little Red Hen role play in the character masks that they're making this week.

Year 1 are making a 'Blue Peter' style video of how to make party hats, with each group contributing a different section of the instructions.

Year 2 are being cameraman, director and interviewee for a hot seating session linked to the Great Fire of London.

Year 3 are using the software to create an autocue weather report to support the Weather forecast they are presenting using the Interactive Whiteboard. They will also video their Weather Forecast presentation.

Year 4 are videoing the various habitats around the school as part of their research in to different habitats.

We've yet to meet with Y5 & Y6 - so we look forward to hearing their ideas.

So lets hope we'll have plenty of work to share with everyone when we get back home.

After all that planning and meeting time it was time for a bit of R & R, so off we went to the Houston Rockets basketball game.

Same venue as the Ice Hockey on Sunday. You may ask yourself -"What did they do with all the ice?". Well so did we!!!

Just like the Ice Hockey, the timeout entertainment sessions were just as entertaining as the match, and in some cases - even more so. The cheerleaders were a little disconcerting for those feminists amongst the party. Chucky bear in swimming trunks was a sight to behold and the disco karate was something else!

Oh and in case anyone is interested - the Rockets won!
