Torridon Infant and Nursery School Information for Parents The staff and governors welcome you and your child to our school Torridon Infant and Nursery School is a community school maintained by the London Borough of Lewisham. The school was built by a Mr Corbett in 1906. He also built the surrounding houses, now called the Corbett estate. The school is named after a small Loch and village, called Torridon in Scotland. In 2000 the school accommodation was greatly improved by the building of six new classrooms. The school has always been a central part of the local community. The school has places for 270 children plus 50 part time Nursery.
