Access and engagement in art - EALTeaching pupils art for whom English is an additional language This guidance applies the principles of the Key Stage 3 National Strategy to the teaching and learning of art for pupils learning EAL. It suggests strategies to help teachers support pupils at different points of learning English:
The guidance also considers how pupils' self-esteem can be developed. Pupils cannot derive full benefit from their art lessons unless social aspects of their learning are taken into account.
