Giving oral and written feedback

Feedback is essential if pupils are to make progress and achieve higher levels of attainment. The following are some suggestions to manage feedback:

  • Teachers should be assigned as the ‘leader’ of the community and will see the ‘members work’ folder which contains separate folders for each pupil
  • Teachers should read pupils’ responses to the questions both for each ‘lesson’ and on the ‘help’ page and give pupils feedback in the ‘feedback’ section/s
  • Teaching assistants could be briefed by the teacher on the responses required and could provide feedback to pupils
  • Pupils could be paired (more able/less able) with more able pupils during the lesson. Pupils could be asked to discuss their responses to the questions with the more able pupil giving support in the form of feedback to the less able pupil.
