OFSTED PRAISE OUR CENTRE!
Great news! An OFSTED Inspector visited the Children’s Centre during the week of 4th December, 2006 and was very impressed. In all areas of provision she thought that the Centre was rated as 'GOOD'. 'Good' is the second highest rating given by OFSTED. The Inspector commented that to achieve this high praise in such a short time was outstanding.
I would like to thank all the staff associated with the Children's Centre for their hard work, skill and commitment. It is due to their huge effort that our community enjoy such a wonderful Centre. The leadership of Mrs Eade, Ms Mauro and Mr Nigel French should also be recognised. As you know there were many delays in getting the Centre open and they have had little time to develop the services before this inspection. So to get such high praise is a massive achievement so a big well done to all concerned.
I hope that all of our community will have the opportunity to use the Centre. I would suggest that you contact Nigel French, the Family Services Manager, and he will be more than happy to tell you all about the opportunities that are available.
