Aims & Ethos
Norwood Green Infant and Nursery School with Centre for Hearing Impaired children is an inclusive, multicultural school where all children are nurtured in a safe, caring and stimulating environment. We respect everyone as an individual and value their contribution to school life and the wider community.
We are committed to developing the skills of independence and responsibility, enabling us all to be lifelong learners, happy in the knowledge that we learn "something new every day".
We aim to:
Ensure that ALL children are valued and encouraged to grow towards personal fulfilment.
Be a happy and responsive school with a caring and supportive atmosphere.
Develop an ethos in which everyone can develop a positive self image and become participants in their own learning.
Challenge, by high expectations, all children to work to their full capacity in every area of the curriculum and in personal and social development.
Establish strong links with parents, the community and outside agencies in order to nurture all aspects of the children's and the school's development.
Develop in the children, the ability to live responsibly in the local and wider multiracial community.
Build on the personal strengths of the staff in order to create a working environment that promotes confidence, motivation and collaboration.
Give all members of our community the best possible education within a dynamic, caring and secure environment.
Provide an environment that values, respects and celebrates the race, gender and religion of everyone in the school.
