Our Mission At The Blue School we aim to develop all the children to their full potential whilst being mindful of the different levels of ability of each individual. We expect the children to achieve their greatest capability in terms of imaginative, creative and academic pursuits and physical activities. We aim to encourage the growth of spiritual and moral values based on the principles of the Christian faith. We hope to do this by maintaining a well disciplined, yet happy and caring environment, which is at the same time purposeful and stimulating. We feel that these aims should increase the capacity for enjoyment and fulfilment of each child, as well as giving greater awareness of the needs of others. Aims of The Blue School The Blue School is a Church of England School. We aim to show our commitment to Christ in all our actions. We intend the children to experience a society which will bring them closer to the love of God and the peace and happiness in life this brings. We aim for the children to learn about other religions in order for them to have an understanding of the commitment of others to their own faith. We expect our children to achieve the highest academic standards of which they are capable. We aim to inspire and motivate our children with a love of learning. We aim to strive for excellence in our teaching and learning which will be delivered by dedicated and committed staff. We expect our children to respect themselves and respect others. We promote equality of opportunity by fostering a positive attitude to race, gender, disability, ability and background. We aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum which will help the child to achieve his or her full potential in all areas (i.e. socially, morally, spiritually, intellectually, physically and emotionally). We aim to encourage our children to develop a wide range of interests. We aim to provide an aesthetic and stimulating environment in which the children will be motivated and encouraged to be independent learners. We aim to maintain and develop a genuine partnership between school, parents, local parishes and the wider community for the benefit of all our children. We encourage all our children to be aware of their present and future roles within the community and to appreciate that they are responsible and caring people who have a role to play within society.
