Information Technology is continually developing in the modern world and so it is vital that children become familiar with and proficient in using computers. The school has a dedicated ICT suite comprising 21 networked computers which are linked up to the Internet and the school server. Each class is timetabled to use the suite each week and the children are able to save their work into their own folder on the server. The school follows the QCA scheme of work which has been adapted to link in with the topics being studied within each year group. During their time at St Mary's, the children will have the opportunity to become more proficient in a range of software including, word processing, spreadsheets, database, control technology and the Internet. St Mary's is part of the London Grid for Learning intranet which provides email facilities and webspace for every child. In Key Stage 2, children get the opportunity to learn about sending and receiving emails, as well as designing their own web pages.
