With Mrs Pearce we made didgeridoos for are assembly. We had to try and get our hands on some long rolls of cardboard. We then got some coloured paper and pictures. We had to colour the pictures in. Then we stuck them and we had a didgeridoo set.
Insects had to carve it hollow in order to play a real one. Australians believed they can sometimes make it rain.

With Mrs Pearce we made Australian animal masks for our assembly. Some people made parrots or kangaroo or koala or emus’ rainbow snake frogs. We acted out a dreamtime story. We all had to have costumes. Mrs Pearce brought her lucky kangaroo mascot for good luck to us.

We made a traditional Australian dish caller damper made from water and flour. We poured water into a bowl of flour and then we took it in turns to stir the mixture. We then moulded the mixture into small lumps, about the size of a fist and then put it in the oven to cook. It tasted a little bit like bread, but was very hard.
