ORCHESTRA CLUB

Orchestra Club is run for Year 5 and 6 pupils

Time: 8:30- 9:00

The school orchestra has a wide variety of instruments. It is open to all musicians of year 5 and 6.

The orchestra performs in all different environments from the christmas play to the school assembly. Everyday the assembly hyms are accompanied by the orchestra.

Mostly, once a year the choir and Orchestra travel to the Queens Theatre to perform in a Summer Music Festival. The children normally practise in the morning at the theatre and later perform to their parents in the evening. They perform with lots of different schools around the borough.

However, Mrs Brett is a big part of this club. She contributes by finding lots of new tunes and organising the instrumentalists. The children say " we all really enjoy being part of the Orchestra and getting some fun times with our instruments!"
