School uniform is a good way of helping children feel part of the school community. For this reason Mead School has a uniform in jade green.

We expect children to be dressed in our colours. It shows support for our aims and is part of our Home/School Agreement.

On sale from the school will be : sweatshirts, polo shirts, yellow T shirts for PE, white shorts for PE and baseball caps for sun protection.

These items may be worn.Grey/charcoal/black skirts or trousers. They are not available from school but may be purchased from a number of shops locally.

Please mark children's coats,hats and gloves,etc. clearly with their name and remember to do this each time you have to replace any of these items as this helps considerably when sorting out lost property.

PE is one area of the curriculum where some special clothing is important.

We would ask that your child has:-

 a pair of black slip-on plimsolls,

yellow T shirt and white shorts or

yellow leotards.

PE kit should be clearly labelled and kept in a PE bag also labelled.

Earrings and jewellery are dangerous in PE lessons so please find out which day your child has PE lessons and send him/her without them for that day.

This is a requirement set by the LEA for reasons of health and safety!
