Target schools is the Student Union at Oxford's access iniative and we aim to encourage applicants from state schools. To further this aim we run Open Days, Regional Conferences, and School visits as well as producing the Oxford University Alternative Prospectus, written entirely by students and recent graduates. We will holding three open days during, this academic year, two in mid-June and the third is set to be on the 27th February 2006. This last Open Day is only for female prospective students as we hope to encourage women from state schopols to apply to Oxford. We will also be holding school visits this year and if you feel that your school would benefit from seeing an Oxford undergraduate talk about their experiences, then please ask your Head of sixth Form to request a visit. These usually occur during our Easter holiday, and so in the few weeks before the school holiday begins.
