A Brief History of our School

In 1943, Upminster Infants School (formerly known as The Bell) were unable to accomodate the increasing number of five year olds in the district.

It was decided that space would be made in the old Hornchurch Grammar School in Cedar Avenue (now Branfil Junior School) to build a new school.

It was to be named after the Branfil family.

It was called Branfil Infant School.
