The French Revolution This website gives you the opportunity to view and learn different aspects of the moderate phase of the French Revolution (1789-93). You can begin your inquiry by selecting one of the six events (all early episodes in the revolution). Then you have additional choices to explore further: biographies, additional details for each event, and documents that relate to that event. A group of Modern European History students at Woodberry Forest School worked on making the French Revolution website. Irish History on the Web Irish History on the Web is NOT another 'links' page, but instead provides a unique resource for anyone interested in learning about or researching a wide variety of Irish history topics. Like a sourcebook, most of the links found here will lead to primary documents, original essays, bibliographies or specific informational sites, all of which are visited prior to inclusion on the site. Les Tres Riches Heures Du Duc De Berry The pictures in this directory are from the calendar section of the Tres Riches Heures. This was painted some time between 1412 and 1416 and is arguably the most beautiful part of the manuscript; it is certainly the best known, being one of the great art treasures of France. In terms of historical and cultural importance, it is certainly equal to more famous works such as the Mona Lisa, marking the pinnacle of the art of manuscript illumination. An excellent on-line resource for pupils studying the medieval period. Life in the Middle Ages This web site was created as part of an American High School Project researched by pupils in Grade 5 and 6. Peel Web - very useful site for A and AS level students on Peel, with information categorised to make revision easy. Public Record Office This is an excellent site for historical data. Copies of records include Shakespeare's will and Robin Hood's pension!!
