Science Web A comprehensive site covering areas such as science resources, visits, websites and research. Now a subscription site, but the good news is that it is only £25

Primary resources The science section of this popular site is full of useful resources

Teaching ideas A site that may be familiar to you already, particularly for literacy. Has a number of different science 'writing frame' worksheets for various age groups.

Cool science for curious kids A US site which captures the spirit of investigative science activity. Not tied to any particular topics, but a source of ideas, possibly for use in a science club.

Little Book of Experiments Really useful collection of experiments. You can now download the book for free from the Planet Science website - or view the activities online

MASSIVE Thought about using songs to revise science concepts with pupils ? This US site provides a searchable database for US resources. Might be a source of inspration for yourself once you've listened to a few of the sample mp3s

Singing science records Complete MP3 files available to download and play taken from old records. Not sure how they would work in the classroom though !

IWB Dominoes for every QCA unit

Domino games that challenge pupils to use their thinking skills are available as Easiteach files. To use with an IWB or to print off, cut up and use as a paired, table top activity. You'll find them listed under Easiteach resources on the QCA unit webpages.

Sphere Science Offer a range of inset. They also provide courses at the Science Learning Centre, so they must be good !

The Cooking Bus Some Haringey schools have successfully booked a visit from this Food Standards Agency resource. It is a free service to schools

SETPOINT London East works closely with London North so the inset advertised on this site is available to Haringey schools. As a registered charity, some services are free, although there is a small charge (£50) for each workshop. Contact Susanna Wisborg (Tel 0208 983 1277) to find out more

Shell Education Services offer a range of workshops for schools.  Take a look at their 2007 programme (Word)

Equipment Wallcards and Flashcards
