TWO NEW PUBLICATIONS FROM OFSTED

OFSTED has recently published two reports on school self-evaluation.

Improving performance through school self-evaluation and improvement - provides further guidance for schools based on a number of case studies and includes a section on using the SEF to summarise the outcomes of evaluation and improvement planning.

Best practice in self-evaluation - also uses a series of case studies to look at factors which contribute to effective self-evaluation.
