Haringey Excellence in Cities Homepage

Excellence in Cities (EiC) is a central government initiative which aims to tackle the particular problems facing children in cities. Through a combination of initiatives, it aims to raise the aspirations and achievements of pupils and to tackle disaffection, social exclusion, truancy and indiscipline and improve parents' confidence in cities. All Haringey's secondary schools and twenty-seven of it's primary schools are part of the EiC partnership. The pages below represent the EiC strands and are primarily aimed at informing and supporting teachers and schools. However, it is hoped that the information might prove useful to others (parents, governers, councillors etc).
