Woodlands Park is an inclusive children's centre. We want every child in our community to be happy, healthy and safe with a bright future. We aim to support all our children and their families to make positive relationships, learn together, grow in confidence, self-respect and be happy
Since opening in 1977 Woodlands Park has been offering integrated education and care for children from 7 months to 4 years of age. In 1997 the centre was given Early Excellence status by the Government and in 2000 the West Green and Chestnuts Sure Start Local Programme (SSLP) funded an extension to the front of the nursery centre to provide additional services to families and the local community. Then in 2005 the nursery in partnership with Sure Start Local Programme was designated as a children's centre. This brings exciting new challenges and we are now building on our excellent foundation to develop the full range of services for young children and their families to meet local needs.
