|
At Crowland we provide a positive ethos which reflects the school’s commitment to high achievement, an effective and stimulating learning environment and equality of opportunity for all. At Crowland, we endeavour to develop a welcoming and positive learning environment where we assert the rights of all children to learn and teachers to teach. We actively foster a policy of opportunity and mutual respect and aim to ensure that each child feels valued. We believe in providing equality of access and opportunity for all children to learn. We recognise that children learn best in an environment that is calm and secure, where expectations are consistent and where their work is valued. At Crowland we encourage children to become independent learners. We aim to provide all children with a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum. We believe in providing a curriculum that promotes pupils' intellectual, physical and personal development and prepares them for the next stage of their education. Our school reflects and promotes respect for our many diverse communities and languages. We aim to make children aware that they can both benefit from, and make a contribution to, our multi-lingual community. In this, we foster an ethos of mutual respect. The support of parents and carers is crucial to children’s education. At Crowland we aim to work in partnership with parents, carers and the local community, and both welcome and encourage their involvement. At Crowland, we strive to engender in children a love of learning, which will continue with them into adulthood.
