Worries, Complaints and Compliments
We hope that if you have any problems or difficulties that you will come and discuss them with us. Sometimes you may feel that your children have been unfairly treated, or you may want to find out more about a particular incident. We suggest the following approach:
1. Listen to your child’s view of what has happened. You may feel that this is enough and your child has got the matter ‘off their chest’
2. You may wish to know more, in which case we suggest that you tell your child that you will look into the matter for them. It will help your child if you do not display an extreme reaction at this stage.
3. Please make an appointment to see the class teacher, deputy or head teacher. They will listen and will let you know what will happen. Please remember it may take a day or so for information to be collected if more than one child is involved
4. If you are unhappy with the outcome of this please let the headteacher know.
5. If we cannot solve the problem to your and your child’s satisfaction, we will give you details of the complaints procedure. We will be sad that we have been unable to resolve the issue, but will help you in the next step in the procedure.
6. We always try to treat the children in a just manner. Our aim is to work with you in the development of your children. It is therefore essential that problems are brought to our attention as early as possible.
7. We are grateful when problems are drawn to our attention. It also helps when you tell us about the things that are working well.
