The School Council

The School Council consists of one boy and one girl from each Key Stage 2 class. Council meetings take place on alternate Fridays at lunchtime.

Councillors are voted for by the children in their class as part of a democratic process.

The School Council consists of a chair, vice chair, secretary, treasurer. and twelve councillors.

Minutes of Council meetings are distributed to everybody in school. The councillors read the minutes to their classes in class council meeting time, and feedback is brought to the next meeting. The classes discuss items for the agenda with their Council Members and these too are discussed by the Council.

The School Council enables the pupils of the school to have a voice and to have their views taken into consideration by all involved in the running of the school.
