Walk to School Week 18th - 22nd May 2009
Greenwich and other London Boroughs have teamed up with Kiss 100's Breakfast Show to promote Walk to School week and we hope that you will get involved with the campaign. In the build up to Walk to School Week the Breakfast Show will encourage pupils around London to take part in Walk to School. We are asking you to encourage your children to register that they are walking to school on the Kiss 100 website

Children only have to register once and not every day of the week. During Walk to School Week the Kiss 100's Breakfast Show will dedicate their "shout outs" to pupils walking to school where callers can name drop their school, give a shout out to their mates and confirm that they are walking to school Monday to Friday between 6-9am.
Medical matters - URGENT
Please ensure EPIPENS, asthma pumps and medicines are brought into school on your child’s return to school.
COACH TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
A coach service shuttle is available to and from BJRS and Discovery School. However, if you can, please bring your children to Discovery School ourselves using cars or public transport. The school opens at 0845. Parents may wait with their children in the playground until registration at 0855am. Children may be collected from Discovery School at 330pm.
The coach shuttle service will start leaving BJRS at 0815am. The coaches will return pupils back to BJRS at the end of the school day. The first coach will arrive at BJRS at approximately 330pm. Coaches will not wait in the morning for late arrivals, so please make sure that you arrive in good time.
If parents / carers use the coach service, it is important that they use it all week and not just on individual days. You should have informed the school if you wish to use it in the mornings or afternoons only. If you arrive late at BJRS for coach travel and their are no more coaches, please make arrangements for bringing your children to Discovery School. Please ensure that your children are aware what actions they need to take if they arrive at the pick up point after the last coach has left.
Dropping off / picking up children at BJRS.
Please do not enter Hoveton Road when dropping off / picking up children at BJRS. The coaches need free access in Hoveton Road.
Dropping off / picking up children from School at Discovery.
Please do not park on the yellow lines or coach bay outside the school. Traffic enforcement offices patrol this area and do issue parking tickets. It would be helpful if you are able to park away from the front of the school to avoid congestion.
The coach shuttle service will leave from BJRS at 0815am. The coach will return pupils back to BJRS at 1130am. You may collect your children from Discovery School at 1130am
Afternoon Nursery:
The coach shuttle service will leave from BJRS at 1245am. You may collect your children form Discovery School at 100pm. The coach will return pupils back to BJRS at 330pm.
When collecting Nursery morning children from BJRS at 1130am please be prompt as we will be bringing back uncollected children to Discovery School. If you miss the Nursery coach in the morning or afternoon, please make your own arrangements for getting children to Discovery School.
