Dia	is a free diagram drawing package. Like visio but much simpler. Useful for teachers but also for teaching that "graphical modelling" unit which is all about vector graphics.
Goldwave	This is a fully featured sound editor. However it is shareware and requires you to register and nags you if you don't. (Recommended by the Music Team)
Audacity	This is also a fully featured sound editor but is completely free. It can even save as an MP3.
Van Bastons Karaoke Machine	This is an excellent midi file player, including the ability to light up words of songs Karaoke fashion. Also includes a visual keyboard of the melody and individual track muting so you can pick out parts. (Recommended by the Music Team)
