Welcome to Year 3

Dear Parents and Children,

All teachers and children are looking forward to an exciting and productive Summer Term! 

As part of our Literacy curriculum this term we will be reading poetry. If you are able to come into school and share a poem, this would be greatly appreciated. Please let your child’s teacher know if you are able to help with this project. 

Please note our PE days are on: Tuesday and Thursday . Please check that all items of clothing are named, the children have no earrings and have appropriate footwear. Thank you for your cooperation and help.

We are pleased with the progress that most of the children have made in their reading during the last term. However, there are a small number of children who do not practice reading daily, and therefore they are not making enough progress. We would like to stress the importance of reading daily with your child. Please encourage your child to read aloud to you. We will be visiting the The Natural History Museum on Wednesday 25th June 2008. We will let you have further details of this trip nearer the time.
Please encourage children to bring in bottles of water to drink throughout the day, as research has shown that it helps the children to concentrate and learn more effectively.
