Art and DT at West Acton Primary School aims to stimulate children's creativity and imagination by providing visual, tactile and sensory experiences and a unique way of understanding and responding to the environment and world around them.

Children will learn to develop a range of skills in Art and Design. Some of these will include: form, texture, design, patterning, construction, colour control and investigation. Children will be encouraged to use the environment, their feelings and a range of materials to complete projects.

In addtional to learning skills fundamental to Art and Design, they will also be looking at a wide variety of artists work such as: Van Gogh, Matisse, Picasso, William Morris, Claude Monet and many more.
