Admission to Reception September 2008

If your child was born between 1 September 2003 - 31 August 2004 he/she is eligible to start school in September 2008.  The deadline for applications has now passed.  Please apply directly to Ealing Council Primary Admissions Department (020 8825 5511), Perceval House, Uxbridge Road, Ealing, or direct to the School after 1st September.

Please note that the School Office will be closed from Wednesday 23rd July until Tuesday 2nd September 2008.

Casual Applications

If you have a child is 5 or over you may apply directly to the School on a "Casual Application" basis.  You may download an application form here.  Please complete the form and bring it to the School Office making sure to include originals and copies of the documents requested.

North Ealing is a very popular, oversubscribed school and it may not be possible to offer your child a place.  You may join a "waiting list" and when a space becomes available we will offer it to the child who best matches the LEA admissions criteria mentioned below.  If you wish to remain on the list please let us know by contacting us every half term.  If we do not hear from you we will remove your child's name from the list after a few months.

You have the right to appeal to the Local Authority if you are not able to get a place at North Ealing and details are available from the School Office.

Admissions Policy

The local education authority is responsible for deciding and administering the admissions policy for this school. Parents have a right to express a preference for the school they wish their child to attend. If a child lives in the catchment area for this school, he or she will have priority for a place [click here to view catchment map]. If there are more children living in the catchment area than there are places, the authority (or school for "casual applications") will allocate places on the basis of the following criteria, in order of priority. The same criteria will be used to allocate any vacancies remaining after all catchment area children have been accommodated.

1. Brother or sister at the school

2. Brother or sister at the school on the same site (if applicable)

3. Exceptional medical reasons relating to the child

4. Exceptional personal circumstances

5. Ease of access to the school (measured by the nearest safe walking route).

More detailed information on the Authority's admission arrangements are contained in the booklet "Information to Parents about Choosing a School".
