At Mayfield we embrace technology and use ICT, including the internet, regularly to enhance daily teaching and learning. However all staff are aware of the potential risks and hazards of using the internet. We aim to promote safe and responsible use of this wonderful resource.

We feel that the best recipe for success lies in a combination of :

1. Using a filtered service administered by London Grid for Learning.

2. Supervision by adults.

3. Fostering a responsible attitude in our pupils in partnership with parents and guardians.

Online resources used by pupils are carefully chosen by the teacher and navigated to through the Mayfield website.

Pupils receive lessons on Internet Safety through both the ICT and PSHE curriculums. Lessons are based on the Internet Proficiency Scheme.
