Special Educational Needs
Hathaway aims to support children's learning and achievement. However, sometimes children may face difficulties. The school has screening procedures for identifying and assessing children's special educational needs (SEN).
Often these difficulties are relatively minor and overcome by the extra help provided by the class teacher but sometimes more long term and/or specialist assistance might need to be provided.
The school has an Inclusion Manager who oversees the operation of the school's special educational needs policy. Parents and carers are welcome to ask for a copy of this policy. The Inclusion Manager is always willing to meet with parents to discuss their child's progress and how they can help work in partnership with the school to help their child.
