The following pages contain examples of some of the kinds of work that each year group covers and our expectations for the quality of that work.

The school now uses proactive marking. This means that the teacher indicates the type of error that has been made, or, opportunities for the improvement. The child is then given time to edit and improve the work as well as an opportunity to explain what they have done and why.

We expect a high level of presentation. The children use pencils to write in the early years moving on to pens during year 2. In Key Stage 2 we encourage the children to use fountain pens if possible, although we do provide a range of pens.
