RED NOSE DAY AT DL 2009

What a blast we all had!

RND09- Friday 13th March (Friday 13th, of all days!) was all about having fun, fun, fun- raising money to help change lives of vulnerable people in Africa and the UK. We certainly managed to do that- with a whopping £890 and the money is still coming in!!

We did everything we could possibly do to 'do something funny for money'........Reception did a sponsored 'nursery rhyme sing', Year 1 did a 'silent ball game', Year 2 danced a few hours away, Year 3 were silent for a LOOOOOOONG time, Year 4 dressed up as animals and sounded like them for the whole day, Year 5 did a fashion cat walk and were silent for ages (no mean feat!) and Year 6 had some fun and fitness thrown in!

We all dressed up on RND- in red and something silly; even the teachers joined in (umm......) oh and I nearly forgot, Mr Parker did a 'sponsored make my hair look silly'- and it really did! The final assembly was a hoot- we did a 'DL has the X FACTOR', which showed off the talent we have in school- ranging from Year R- Year 6. The teachers even showed off their 'talent' with a line dance!

WELL DONE to the whole school and an even bigger well done for raising so much money- for something funny!!
