Where in the world were you born?
Where in the world does your family have their origins?
These are just a few of the questions that we have been asking ourselves and our families in 'Our World Week'- what a HUGE success it was last week! We have all been very busy researching our heritage by interviewing our parents, grandparents, great grandparents (etc, etc). This in order to discover as much as possible about the wonderful experiences of our families who originated from all around the world.

We have discovered so much about our origins and this was shared in our special World Week assembly last Friday. We heard many stories about our heritage, way of life, customs and experiences. It was an incredible week of discovery for us all. Each class concentrated on different aspects of 'Our World', and the assembly was credit to this. It was an extremely cross curricular week- we saw paintings that depicted our world, Salsa dancing, Polish dancing, a large World map that pinpointed where our children originated from, flags, presentations and reports. We shared some delicious Caribbean and Polish cooking and heard some fab Samba drumming and a great Polish song. Parents came in and shared their wealth of knowledge with our children too. It was certainly DL faberoony!!

Now check out the photos below of Our World Week.
